How to Participate as a Weigh-In Site/Coordinator

***The deadline to register as a weigh-in site/coordinator is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16.

Organizations interested in serving as an official Scale Back Alabama weigh-in site, either open to the public or for employees only, must:

• Be located in the state of Alabama*.

• Have at least 10 employees (that is 10 total employees, not necessarily 10 who want to participate in Scale Back Alabama).

• Designate a coordinator to run the program at their site.

*Please note that only those employees who live or work in Alabama are eligible to participate.

Each organization must appoint one person to serve as the contact for the contest.  Called the organization coordinator, this individual will have access to a comprehensive toolkit with everything needed for hosting a contest locally and serving as a weigh-in site.

If you’d like to sign up as coordinator and enroll your organization, send an email to info@scalebackalabama.com.  Please provide the name of your organization and the number of employees.  You will receive a reply with a link to register as a coordinator, which will give you access to additional information on the “Coordinators Only” section of the Scale Back Alabama website. If you have specific questions, you may send an email to info@scalebackalabama.com.  

Are you a K-12 School? If so, there is a special program for schools that requires an additional registration. After you have completed your Scale Back Alabama coordinator registration, you will see another link to click that will take you to the Alabama Department of Public Health's web page where you can enroll.
